Hello; In today's ever increasingly competitive economy its a necessity that companies find new markets for their products and services. This could mean finding new uses for existing products. Or more likely it could be about reaching a market that you hadn't thought of before. Today, I want to talk to you about promoting yourself to the amusement industry.

According to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, there are over 400 traditional amusement parks in the United states and another 300 in Europe. In the US amusement parks and smaller locations, called family entertainment centers, account for over 500,000 permanent jobs. That doesn't account for carnivals, fun fairs, circuses, concessionaires, or party rental companies. And they have the same demands for equipment, products, and services as any other business.
The most obvious demand is in printing and publishing. Every one of their employees will need hats, shirts, jackets, aprons, etc with the company name or logo printed or embroidered on them. Once purchased, they will need to regularly purchase amusement park rides replacements. And many companies change their color scheme every few years requiring additional purchases. Then, there is their advertising. They need pre-printed banners, flyers, coupons, and of course posters. All these companies need business cards, calendars, key chains, and other promotional items. For food operations they need drink cups, napkins, paper wrap, sticks, skewers, and straws. There is a limited number of companies that specialize in some of these items, and these companies are always looking for new sources. But there are a few that you won't automatically think of.

For accountants imagine the difficulty of handling payroll for businesses that operate in more than one state. For engineers there is need for qualified rides for Russia inspectors especially as the equipment gets more technical and complicated each year. For the insurance salesperson there is always a need for new companies that will insure the vehicles, employees, and equipment. For the larger more proactive companies there is even a place for attorneys that help them avoid risk where possible. There are even some large carnivals now that operate their own school and employ teachers full time. I told you you would be surprised. And this doesn't count things like tires, tools, hose, light bulbs, or the million other things they need.
So, now that I have you thinking about the amusement industry with a snookball table for sale as a potential market, the next question is how do you reach it. Well, its like anything else, you need to be where people in the industry will see your products and services. To that end I offer free text links on my site to manufacturers and suppliers who serve the amusement industry. Feel free to suggest a category as well as submit your information. Its totally free with no expectation of reciprocation or email subscription. The point being to provide necessary information and resources to anyone considering starting or expanding an amusement based business. We also welcome submissions for product reviews. Feel free to call or email with any questions.
In poor economic times the amusement industry has always thrived. Especially in hard times people look for distraction and escape. You should be tapping into this market. And if nothing else I've given you an excuse to go to the amusement park. Yes, research. Thanks and take care out there,
